FIFA, the international governing body for association football, have announced an NFT drop will be held on their FIFA+ Collect platform on December 15th, featuring 100 collectibles on Algorand that will offer holders the chance of securing tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.This will be supplemented by the sale of an additional 900 collectibles on Polygon, giving buyers the opportunity of obtaining match-used items from the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup and FIFA-related VIP experiences, available via OpenSea on December 19th.These drops mark FIFA’s first with blockchain solutions partner Modex, with the latter being their first drop on Polygon.FIFA Exploring New Ways to Connect with FansIn a statement, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer, Romy Gai, said: “We are excited to embark on this transformative journey with Modex and take the FIFA+ Collect platform to new heights.
